Rave Review on Jessica's Performance from LA Times
"The real star of this episode was Jessica Capshaw's Dr. Arizona Robbins. She began her rounds by warning her residents that pediatric surgery wasn't just a miniature version of general surgery. "These are the tiny humans. These are children. They believe in magic. They play pretend. There is fairy dust in their IV bags. They hope, and they cross their fingers, and they make wishes, and that makes them more resilient than adults. They recover faster, survive worse. They believe."
I always love Arizona's speeches. Sometimes, the monologues on this show get drawn out, becoming too saccharine or too overwrought. Jessica Capshaw, however, always delivers her lines with subtlety, forgoing histrionics in favor of honesty."

TV Guide asked Jessica whether babies might be in Callie & Arizona's future:
"What then about Callie and Arizona adding a mini-Calzona to their family? Jessica Capshaw, who plays pediatric surgeon Arizona Robbins and is the real-life mom to 2-year-old son Luke, says, “In my character research, I’ve found a lot of real life pediatric doctors don’t want to have their own children because everyday they see all the horrible things that could happen.”"
Jessica is featured in the "my true SELF" section in the November 2009 issue of Self Magazine. She reveals what's really important to her and her favorite things. Sorry if it's not very clear as I don't have access to a scanner right now, but I will put up a better version once I get it scanned this week.

Jessica was at the Madewell and Lucky Magazine Denim Party at Bar Marmont on Oct 20. "In L.A. you usually can't dress like this for a red carpet," said Jessica, in a Madewell mini and ALC jacket. Realize the sparkly top? She wore it in all those interviews on TCA Press Day. Looks like she loves to attend these events with her friend Sasha Alexander.
Jessica was also interviewed at the event. The video can be found here.

LA Times' Review of Jessica's Performance in "Invasion"

I came across this review on the Los Angeles Times website, and I just had to share the wonderful things they said about Jessica's performance in "Invasion". I could not agree with them more. Here's their full review.
"By far the best moment in this episode was Arizona's scene with Callie's father, Mr. Torres. Jessica Capshaw has an incredible ability to take even the most melodramatic of "Grey's" speeches and deliver them with a subtlety and an honesty that makes them come off as sincere instead of overwrought. "I was named for a battleship," she said, and in the powerful monologue that followed, she calmly and carefully explained that Callie was still the woman Mr. Torres raised. It was really beautiful."
