NATALIE: You know how Arizona is always pushing Alex to be the best doc that he can be? Well, Callie will decide to play the same role for Meredith. Speaking of Calzona, look for some fun and sexy Valentine's Day shenanigans. "They're fighting with Mark about who's going to babysit; who gets to have sex that night, basically," executive producer Shonda Rhimes tells us.


From TV Line:

Callie and Arizona are either going to have the best Valentine’s Day ever or the worst.

In Grey’s Anatomy‘s Feb. 9 episode, Callie plans a surprise for Arizona on the most romantic day of the year that, should it bomb, could result in not one but two broken hearts.

“Arizona isn’t quite sure that it’s going to be a surprise that she likes,” previews the character’s portrayer, Jessica Capshaw. “She puts on her game face because she wantsto like it so bad. But she’s not entirely convinced that she will.”

Viewers will learn what the surprise is at the same time Arizona does — which will be at the tail end of the love-soaked hour. Based on the exclusive image below, we know that it is set in outdoors. “It’s something that kind of fell into Callie’s lap that seemed lucky,” Capshaw adds, “and she wants to share it with Arizona.”

    Very cute picture. Typical for AZ being afraid of surprises :-). I hope that she'll like it. I guess it is a chalet in the woods.

    "should it bomb, could result in not one but two broken hearts" - I very much doubt a picnic should it gone wrong end up with two broken hearts. I'm guessing a house ... but I am also not sure!

    I don't know if you saw the second picture yet of this episode. I don't know what to think of AZ's face. It looked more like shocking to me. And since they are talking about broken hearts... On the other hand, we read that it will be cute Calzona time so I hope that she'll like it. I don't know if it would be a house. I don't see them living in a house in the woods.

    i am also guessing it's a house. makes the most sense in terms of their progression this season (which has been awesome by the way!). As far as the broken hearts, they could really be referring to anything here. Maybe it has nothing to do with the surprise, but more of the pre-game where they are trying to find someone to watch Sofia. ??? Who knows? What I do know is that I love this couple & season 8!!! AMAZING~
