omg... that rrly was such a disappointing episode for calzona fans... freaking new years and they didn't even kiss, and most of the other couples had one. not only that, but the teddy and owen scene at the end was so awkward... the only cool part was when arizona, derek, and mark were talking to the chief about the funding for the machine, and they all split it.

  • Xam

    Disjointed, to put it bluntly.

I won't even begin to comment on the 1-second sad and pathetic excuse to "show equality among couples"... felt like they threw a bone just to shut the C/A fans up...

    *sigh...

Oh well, I guess I felt more sorry for the Christina/Owen shippers. Months of waiting, and for what? Either he is strangling her, ignoring her altogether or eating her face off. Ew. Gross!
(Run Teddy! Run far far away from the Owen monster before he eats you too!!!)

lolz. basically i thought: owen/christina was just plain sad a pathetic... c/a was just disappointing and lacking... mark/lexie was just so no comment (like rrly... did they rrly have to make mark have a freaking daughter?)...alex was no where to be seen except for like 2 scenes. chief/mer thing was bleh... (i dont like chief that much). Bailey thing was like really really random.
    ya...

I'll raise my glass of orange juice to toast every point you stated Mel. :D

I felt that the piddly scene where they were making Thanksgiving dinner was horrible. It felt terribly contrived and downright scripted. From Lexie's smile while meticulously chopping celery, through the kiss. Even the music made it seem like a hokey b-movie scene. I was very disappointed.

Truthfully, I see enough idiots complaining that they don't want to see "All the lesbian Kissing" between Callie and Arizona as it is, but to put that in almost proves their point. It was like that scene was directed and edited by a homophobe.

On a lighter note... How great was it to here Sara Ramirez singing Holy Night?

  • Stacy

Oh God. I can too spell. HEAR Sara Ramirez sing. HEAR!!!

i think i disagree with you guys on the whole Thanks Giving scene... i thought it was sweet. it was waaay to short but i thought the kiss was good. it would seem weird if they just started making out in the middle of the kitchen with Lexie right there haha and i thought the way they looked at each other was beautiful. and hey at least it was on the LIPS! lol

i think we're all just getting a little bitter cos of the lack of affection so far. so when we get a little dose we feel like we're just being patronized. i'm just holding out some hope for equal onscreen affection time

the scene where Mark/Derek/Arizona offer to pay for the equipment was great. when Mark says he's not sure if he can cos he has a teenage daughter who might want to go to college and Arizona says "Have you met her?" hahahahaha HILARIOUS!

and i thought Callie's "I'm dating women now" with Bailey's dad was classic Callie... which we havn't really seen much of lately

I agree with Jazz, I liked the episode and at least we are progressing into some level of affection between the couple, we just need more! There were some really good one liners about Mark's daughter which made me laugh.

haha and Derek with his "there could be a gaggle of Sloans. sloan jones slown smith sloan sloan!" hahaha i had exactly that same response as Arizona i think i even said "Mean" out loud haha but with a giggle in my voice haha

ppl are saying they wanted more of a dramatic thing from Lexie at Thanks Giving. i think it was sooo classic Lexie to chop her finger off lol and Callie and Arizona just go "oh dear" haha the more think about it the more i really did like some of the cenes from this ep... i think maybe it was just a bit rushed or something they tried to pack too many things into one. not just the holidays but the diff storylines.

i say lets just drop the Chief storyline... well give the writers one free pass and allow them to suspend time and reality whilst we pretend the Chief storyline was never introduced lol i mean Webber has always been entertaining and what not but he's a sideline character no need to try and make more of him.
